Farmgrass FAQs:
Is there camping at Far,g?
Of course! It's in the name! Primitive camping is available on Friday & Saturday night with purchase of any ticket. Tent camping is located on the campground, and campsites are first-come, first-served. You can purchase an Electrical Permit in addition to your tickets. Camping areas open to guests at 3pm on Friday 10/21. Campers must vacate campgrounds by 12pm on Sunday 10/23.
Can I park my car, camper, or RV on the campgrounds?
If you would like RV or car camping at the festival, you may purchase a Camping Vehicle Permit for $60 which must be displayed on your vehicle at all times. Otherwise, campers must unload at their campsite and immediately move car to parking lot. RVs must arrive on Friday. Shoot us an email if you have any questions about RV camping.
Do I need to pay extra to park my car in the parking lot?
No, lot parking is included in all admission tickets.
Is there electricity on the campgrounds?
Electricity is not included in your ticket, but Electrical permits are available for $40. No generators are allowed int he campground.
Are allowed fires on the campgrounds?
Fires must be contained and elevated off the ground. No ground fires are allowed. Grilling is allowed only on above-ground grills.
Is there a quiet camping area?
Overall, the campground will be family friendly and low-key. However, we will have a dedicated quiet camping area.
What's the weekend schedule look like?
Friday 10/21: Festival grounds open at 3pm. Open Mic on the stage Friday evening (details TBD).
Saturday 10/22: Live music will go from around 1pm-11pm, followed by camping and jamming in the campground. Click here for lineup. Live music schedule TBA.
Sunday 10/23: Campers must vacate campground by 12pm.
How do I get to the Old Settler's Homestead?
The Old Settler's Homestead is located in a very small town called Timon, 10 miles southeast of Lockhart. The address is 1616 FM 3158, Dale, Texas 78616. You can put 1616 FM 3158 Dale or Tilmon into google maps and the location will show up. You’ll be able to drive yourself and park on the property. We do encourage you to carpool.

What's Farmshare Austin?
Farmshare Austin's mission is to grow a healthy local food community by increasing food access, teaching new farmers and preserving farmland. Proceeds from Camp & Jam go towards scholarships for Farmshare's Farmer Starter Program, an immersive farmer training program designed to provide aspiring farmers with the skills and training needed to manage a sustainable farming business.
How can I help spread the word about Farmgrass Camp & Jam?
Visit our website for downloadable logos you can post on social media. Please contact us if you would like to volunteer at a farmers market or another event to help promote the festival.
Are there opportunities to volunteer for Farmgrass Camp & Jam?
Yes! We will need help on the day of the event as well as in the weeks leading up to it. Please contact us if interested.
Can I bring a chair/blanket to sit on?
Yes! If you want to sit and be comfy, we encourage you to bring your own folding chairs and blankets.
What kind of restroom facilities will be available?
There will be clean port-a-potties including at least 1 wheelchair accessible. There will not be showers or running water!
Where do I park and will it cost extra?
There will be ample parking on site, very close to the festival grounds and it's free!
What if I get hungry?
We will have wonderful food available for purchase from local food vendors on Saturday. You are also permitted to bring your own food and cook at your campsite.
Will the food vendors have vegetarian and gluten-free options?
Yes! But again, if you have special dietary needs, please pack your own meals or snacks.
Will there be running water?
Although we will have water available, there is no running water on the campgrounds. Please bring enough water for you and your group! We recommend at least 2-3 liters per adult per day (and 1-1.5 liters for children). Stay hydrated y'all!
Is there shade at the Homestead?
The campground is filled with trees and shade galore! But we encourage you to wear sunscreen and hats and bring umbrellas or pop-up tents if you like. However, pop-up tents may only be set up in the camping area to avoid obstructing stage views.
Is Farmgrass Camp & Jam kid-friendly?
Yes! Kids 12 and under are free and there's lots of room to roam.
Can I bring my dog?
Sorry, but no. We ask you to keep your pets at home. Contact us if you have ADA Service Animal inquiries.
Will there be Farmgrass merch for sale?
Yes! All proceeds from merch will go to support Farmgrass & Farmshare.
Can I pay for tickets, food and t-shirts with a credit card?
Yes, although data signals for card readers may be iffy on site. Please bring cash for all purchases for your own convenience.
Can we BYOB?
Yes, BYOB and coolers are allowed! No glass allowed. Please drink responsibly and have a designated driver.
