Farmgrass and Good Name Productions present: Farm Flicks
Connect with your Central Texas farmers through the art of film and food
Farmgrass, an Austin-based nonprofit that raises critical medical emergency funds for Central Texas farmers, invites you to join them for an evening of farm-to-cinema food, film and fundraising.
Our friends at Good Name Productions will debut their recently finished documentary-style films profiling Green Gate Farms, Indian Hills Farms and us! Take an intimate look into the hard world of sustainable farming, and learn why organizations like Farmgrass help keep farm-fresh foods on our tables.
With your ticket purchase, you will receive a locally sourced, two-course meal provided by Alamo Drafthouse featuring seasonal vegetables and grass-fed beef from Indian Hills and Green Gate farms. You will also enjoy the screening of all three short films in addition to a special live Q&A between Phillip Oettle, owner and executive producer at Good Name Productions, and Talia Bryce, founder and president of Farmgrass, as well as a conversation with Indian Hills and Green Gate farmers moderated by Marla Camp, publisher of Edible Austin magazine.
One raffle ticket, one drink ticket, Farmgrass pint-glass and other goodies included in your ticket price.
Silent auction items include a two-night stay at The Italian Place B&B in Fredericksburg, Texas, a two-night stay at the Westin Austin Downtown Hotel and a signed guitar by Robert Earl Keen.
Raffle items include gift cards to Jeffrey’s Restaurant and Kendra Scott Jewelers.
Proceeds from the evening benefit the emergency medical fund for Central Texas farmers.
